Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home care reflects the idea that many seniors need more than basic assistance in order to lead fulfilling lives. Seniors need companionship, so we strive to build friendships between our clients and care providers. Seniors also need activities that relax, restore, engage, or inspire, so we’re proud to offer two alternative therapies that do that and more:
Music can improve the health and well-being of seniors in many ways: It can help seniors process thoughts, maintain memories, and improve language skills; it can help seniors to relax or socialize; and it can inspire seniors to move, to tap their fingers, and maybe even dance. Our therapists select music that reflects the particular needs of our seniors. Relaxing music, for example, could be used to reduce stress; music that inspires movement can help to improve coordination and endurance.
Dogs and cats can be wonderful, loving companions, but some of our seniors are no longer able to properly care for them. Our pet therapy re-introduces dogs and cats into the lives of our seniors, and brings back many of the benefits that pets can provide: A visiting dog or cat can bring back pleasant memories of a beloved pet; stroking a dog or cat can soothe and relax; and a show of love and affection from a visiting pet can warm the heart.
If you, or a senior you love, could benefit from the therapeutic power – and pure joy – of music or pets, we invite you to contact us. Simply call 303-919-2839 or e-mail email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll tailor a senior care and therapy plan that’s just right for you. We’re proud to offer our senior care services throughout Lakewood, Littleton, Columbine, Ken Caryl, and the west Denver metro area.
